Janet L. Stewart, age 84, of Mars, formerly of Copley, Ohio, went home to the Lord on Thursday evening, May 28, 2026 under the care of Family Hospice in Pittsburgh.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Viola Speicher Stewart.
A 1962 graduate of Allegheny General School of Nursing, Janet was a Registered Nurse at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Ohio.
She was a member of USGA and was a golf enthusiast.
She enjoyed all types of crafts and was very talented in everything she did. She especially loved quilting and counted cross stitch. Gifts we will cherish.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Weishampel (William) of Naples, FL., two sons, Theodore “Ted” Cesarow (Kitty) of Brunswick, Ohio, and Milton Cesarow of Copley, Ohio, her grandchildren, Robert, William and Janessa Weishampel and Ryan Cesarow, her great grandchildren, Alex, Kennedy, Ava and Araya. Also surviving are a sister, Wendy Connolly (Brian) of Cranberry Twp. and a brother, Walter Stewart of Neville Island along with many caring and helpful nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leandrea Cesarow, her sister, Joyce Sergent and her brother, Edward Stewart.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at Penn Mar Plaza, 2 Gilkey Dr. Mars, PA from Noon until 2:00 PM. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
The family would like to thank the visiting nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists from AHN for their care and concern of her over the past few months.
