James L. "Jim" Young

James L. "Jim" Young, age 74, of Mars, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, October 5, 2023 in the comfort of his home.

Born in Portsmouth, Ohio on July 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Nathaniel Leslie and Doris May Cole Young.

Jim had been an owner/operator of the Super Duper Grocery and Jim's Riverside Grocery in Clearfield.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of Mars V.F.W.

He was an active member of Crossway Community Church in Valencia.

Beloved father of Michelle Spingola and her husband, Dennis of Mars and Heather Doheny and her husband, Sean of Fort Mill, S.C. Grandfather of Liam and Emma Doheny.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Young.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Crossway Community Church, 109 Davis Road, Valencia, PA 16059. Please meet at the church.
