James P. Kumpfmiller

James P. Kumpfmiller, age 84, of Warrendale, formerly of the Villages Florida and Glenshaw, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 19, 2022 in the comfort of his home.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 10, 1937, he was the son of the late Peter and Lucy Kirstein Kumpfmiller.

Jim was an Engineer for Basic Engineers in Sharpsburg.

He was a former member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Glenshaw and St. Timothy Catholic Church in Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Friedel Kumpfmiller, who he married on May 30, 1959, his children, Janice DeCoster (Miles) of Reading, PA, Joan Zary Oswald (Steve) of Greenville, N.C., Joyce Brewster (Robert) of Mars, Jerome Kumpfmiller of Ancram, N.Y. and Jason Kumpfmiller (Megan Wood) of Washington, PA, his grandchildren, Todd McDonald (Lauren), Peter McDonald, Katrina Keane (Paul), Kelsey and Kyler Zary, Megan and Timothy Brewster and Quinn, Zoe and Lucy Kumpfmiller, his great grandchildren, Shania Keane, Natalie Mauer and Jacob McDonald and his great-great granddaughter Royalty Lyle.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Paul and Roy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass is being planned for the Spring. Memorials may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
