Obituary

James G. Callender, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and resident of Mars Pennsylvania, passed away on April 25th, 2023 at the age of 75.  He is survived by his sisters Mary Beth Wyant and Kathy (Gary) Weyandt and his children Scott (Breanna) Callender, Matthew Callender, and JP (Lindsey) Callender Beloved grandfather of Benjamin, Noah, Hannah, Ella, and Lila Callender. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; George and Mercedes Callender, brother in law Nicholas Wyant, and sister Patty Smith. A cherished uncle, great uncle, and cousin by many. For many years Jim was a skilled plasterer and did construction by trade. Some hobbies he enjoyed included taking his family fishing, writing, custom woodworking, and riding motorcycles. Jim became a born again Christian and an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He carried a passion to share the love of Jesus and salvation through Jesus with the world around him. He helped people in their time of need, and delivered timely wisdom from the Holy Spirit to so many that God put in his path. Jim was an amazing father, ensuring that his children knew how much he and Jesus loved them. As he is now rejoicing in heaven, please join us to celebrate Jim's life and legacy on May 7th, 2023 at 3pm at Murrysville Alliance Church, 4130 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668.
