Glenn L. Franceschina

Glenn L. Franceschina, age 71 of Mercer, passed away on Monday afternoon, January 13, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 4, 1953, he was the son of the late Louis Franceschina and Norma DeMarco Franceschina Rape.

Glenn was a Maintenance Supervisor at several area school districts throughout his career. "Pap Pap Dunk" enjoyed doing anything he could with his hands from art to tinkering with his collections. He most recently had volunteered at the Greenville Railroad Museum and Park. Glenn enjoyed a good Western and was an avid race fan. He was of the Catholic faith and was proud of his Italian heritage.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian Stabile Franceschina, son, Christopher Franceschina (Jessica) of Pittsburgh, daughter, Jennifer Hobaugh (Ben) of Elizabeth, two step-daughters, Mary King of Bruin and Janene Crawford in Texas, four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, two sisters, Bonnie Snyder (Jim) of Grove City and Karen Henderson of Streetsboro, Ohio, and his former wife, Mary Chabala of Bridgeville.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 5-7 PM. Closing prayers will follow at 7:00 PM.
