Gary Dillner Obituary

Gary J. Dillner, 72, of Middlesex Twp., passed away peacefully Sunday, May 31, 2026 in Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born in Pittsburgh on May 14, 1954, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mildred Jean (Frenchko) Dillner.

A 1972 graduate of Mars High School, he went on to own and operate a successful glass and mirror company.

Gary was the devoted husband of 40 years to his loving wife Elizabeth (Fleissner) Dillner. Their strong and loving friendship was the foundation of a family filled with fun, love, and lasting memories.  He was a proud father to Adam (Allison) Dillner, of Valencia; Andrew (Elizabeth) Dillner, of Valencia; and Marci (Mark) Bialas, of State College; and grandfather to Ty, Anne, Quinn, Parker, Hudson, Sylvie, and Ruby.

Middlesex was always home to Gary. He took great pride in his community and served as Township Supervisor from 1995 to 2001. Gary also had a lifelong passion for cars, particularly Mustangs. Over his lifetime, he proudly owned more than 50 Mustangs, a hobby that brought him great joy and reflected his enthusiasm for life. While his life was marked with many achievements, his character and devotion to his family truly defined him. From soccer games to trips to Pymatuning Lake each summer, he cherished these moments with his family. Friends and family will remember him for his warmth, welcoming spirit, and the genuine way he connected with people.

Gary is also survived by sisters Cheryl (Tony Ortiz) Rodriguez and Michele (Jim) Bruggeman; brother-in-law Craig O'Hern; mother-in-law, Eileen Fleissner; sister-in-laws, Bonnie (Jim) Grosjean and Amy Fleissner, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kimberley O’Hern, and father-in-law, Bernard Fleissner.

The family is deeply grateful to the nurses, aides, and staff at Passavant Retirement Community for the exceptional care, compassion, and love they provided to Gary toward the end of his life. Their kindness and support were extraordinary, bringing comfort to him and the entire family.
