Gage Zimmerman Obituary

Gage Carlin Zimmerman, age 23, of Valencia, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Born in Kansas City, MO on August 26, 1995, he is the son of Jeffrey and Heather Reynolds Zimmerman of Valencia.

He is a 2014 graduate of Mars Area High School, where he excelled in cross country and track.

Gage was a kind and likable person especially when you got the chance to talk to him one on one.  He loved to laugh.

He also loved his family and the outdoors.  He enjoyed spending the summers with his grandparents in Missouri where he would spend hours bass fishing, mowing the grass, searching for golf balls, and lighting fireworks on the 4th of July.  He liked to help at the golf course and go to Wallace State Park.

Gage loved fishing at Pymatuning and Lake Erie for walleye with his dad and grandparents from PA.  He was a great fishing buddy.  Although not the quietest hunter, he did really well at shooting sports and enjoyed spending time in the woods.  He also enjoyed going to the flea market and 100 mile yard sales with his grandparents.

Gage liked camping with his family at Clear Creek State Park when he was younger and later enjoyed going to McConnells Mill with his friends.

He enjoyed being around his younger brothers.  Mostly they played video games, watched funny videos, and made a lot of messes.  He would spend hours with them exploring at the creeks and shorelines while camping.  They also enjoyed climbing on the boulders together at Beartown Rocks.

Gage was very interested in computers and networking.  He took a lot of pride in his level of self-taught expertise and was always looking to help people.  He also loved watching science and astronomy videos on his phone.

Throughout his life, his mom was his number-one supporter.  She never missed a sporting or school event and made sure her shared calendar was up to date for the rest of the family.

Our family is heartbroken with his passing.  We know we will see him again someday.

We love you, Gage. We will miss you every day.

In addition to his parents, surviving are his brothers, Brady and Lane Zimmerman of the home; maternal grandparents, Jackie (Kevin) Nichols of Cameron, MO and Richard (Julie) Reynolds of Gallatin, MO; paternal grandparents, Gary and Joette Zimmerman of Brookville, PA; nephew of Brandon (Cara) Reynolds of Kansas City, MO, Heather L. Zimmerman of Leesburg, VA, and Narayan Partangel of Leesburg, VA; cousin of Shyanne, Devan, Danika and Monika.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 5-8 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 PM.
