Francis E. Silverman

Francis E. Silverman, age 90, of Pine Twp., formerly of New Haven, CT., passed away on Tuesday evening, May 28, 2024 at Rose Crest Assisted Living in Mars.

Born in New Haven, CT., on September 8, 1933, he was the son of the late Nathan and Loraine Hurlbert Silverman.

Frank had worked in sales most of his life.  He had served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

While living in Gibsonia, he was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church and when in Connecticut, he was active at St. George Catholic Church in Guilford, where he was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Delucia Silverman, who died on September 15, 2019, by a son, Scott Silverman, by his brothers, David Schwartz and Robert O'Brien and by his sister, Marjorie Delguidice.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynn DeMarco (Dan) of Guilford, CT., and Jillian Gill (Brandon) of Gibsonia, a son, Glenn Silverman (Michele) of Guilford, CT., also six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held in Guilford, CT. Memorials in his memory may be made to St. George Catholic Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford, CT 06437.
