Frances "Jane" (Whipple) Kerchner

Frances "Jane" Kerchner, age 99, of Mars, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, December 21, 2024 in the comfort of her home under hospice care.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Bailey and Laura Williamson Whipple.

Jane enjoyed many winters in Florida with her husband where they met many new friends. She loved water aerobics and card club with her friends. Most of all, she had a strong faith throughout her life.  She was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars.

Surviving are her sons, Doug of Mars and Rich from Indiana, and ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her loving, longtime caretaker, Toni Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph J. Kerchner, who she married on January 19, 1942 and who died on January 11, 2000, by a daughter, Judy Gaetano, by a son, David Kerchner and by a grandson, Jason Kerchner.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Paul Cope will officiate. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd. Renfrew, PA 16053.
