Frances L. Hartung

Frances L. Hartung, a lifelong resident of Mars, passed away at the age of 103 at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars on Sunday afternoon, July 25, 2021.

Born in Mars, PA on June 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Kline Hartung.

Frances graduated from Geneva College and had been a school teacher for the Mars Area School District and the North Allegheny School District.

She was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church in Mars.

Frances was the aunt of David Hartung (Cheryl), John Hartung (Susan), Bruce Hartung (Terri), Amy Hartung Jones (Roger) and Karen Hartung. Also many great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Olin, Everett and Eleanor Hartung.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Rd. Mars, PA 16046, with Rev. Peter deVries, pastor, officiating.
