Flora L. Maynard, age 95, of Pine Twp., Gibsonia, passed away on Saturday evening, August 19, 2023 in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.
Born in Smock, PA on May 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Sarah Maude Stewart Cook.
Flora had been the secretary for her family's construction business.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Scatena (David) of Cheswick and Lucinda Maynard of Gibsonia, four sons, Ronald Maynard (Jane) of West Virginia, Bruce Maynard (Jerrie) of Wexford, Jeff Maynard (Sherri) of Utah and Artie Maynard (Amy) of Valencia. Also 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Art" Maynard, who she married on June 12, 1949 and who died on June 19, 2019, by a son, Randy Maynard and by her sisters, Anna Grace, Marietta, Jean and Esther.
There will be no visitation. Services are private. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd. Pgh., PA 15237.
