Esta D. (Snyder) Weiss

Esta D. Weiss, of Cranberry Township, PA, passed away on July 3rd, 2025, after a brief illness.

She was born on March 6th, 1931, in Beaver Falls, PA to Royal and Mabel (Cooper) Snyder.  Growing up in Beaver Falls during the Great Depression, she befriended Charles (“Chuck”) Weiss, an engineer and racer who would later become her husband.  They spent sixty-five happy years together building their family, friendships, and careers in Michigan, California, and Pennsylvania.  Esta earned her nursing degree at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Detroit.  She worked in the OR, ER, and in rheumatology and connective tissue diseases, and later managed physician groups and medical practices – a life-long profession well-matched to her compassion and professionalism. 

Esta’s greatest joy was her family.  Her legacy of love, generosity, and humor lives on in the grateful affection of her daughter and son-in-law Beth and Brett Bosley; grandchildren Brian (Mandy) Jouppi, Lisa (Richie) Holt, Kelli (Stephen) Dryden-Ryan, and Josh (Ashley) Dryden, and cherished great-granddaughters Sofia, Amelia, Elizabeth Joy, Lily, and Elliott, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Loved ones already at rest include husband Chuck, daughter Donna Jouppi, son, Charles Weiss Jr, and siblings Sheryl Rimbey, Wayne Snyder, Juanita Kast, Slim Johnston, and Billie Landsbach.

According to her wishes, there will be no services or visitation.  The family will organize a celebration of life at a later date.  She will be interred beside her beloved husband and son at Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum in Beaver, PA.
