Emmylou Porter Conley

Emmylou Conley, age 90, of Mars, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Mt. Oliver, PA on November 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Elizabeth Shelton Porter.

Emmylou had been a secretary at Wesco in Pittsburgh and more recently was a caregiver at Vision Day Care in Mars for 12 years.

She was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars.

Surviving are her daughter, Joy James (Kenneth) and a son, Ross W. Conley, both of Mars and her grandchildren, Kenneth and Jennifer James.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Conley, who she married on September 4, 1965 and who died on May 31, 2006, and by her siblings, Byron Porter, Ruth Denk, Harriet Seiferth and Mildred “Coke” Graney.

Friends will be received at the LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars,  PA 16046 on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Friday from 10-11:00 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Cope, officiating. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to the church.
