Ellen M. (Schwartz) Burk

Ellen M. Burk, age 95, of Mars, formerly of Middlesex Twp., passed away on Sunday morning, July 18, 2021 in the comfort of her home.

Born in Germany on November 17, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Frieda Schwartz.

Ellen had been the cafeteria manager for the Pine-Richland School District and later worked as a private cook for Fosnight Retirement Home in Hampton Twp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Burk, who she married on February 17, 1945 and who died on August 20, 2004 and by a step-sister.

Surviving are her daughters, Frieda G. Kleinhample of Middlesex Twp., Georgette E. Conroy of McCandless Twp. and Eileen L. Pritchett in Ohio, her sons, Richard M. Burk (Beth) in North Carolina and Gary T. Burk (Sally) in Tennessee and by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 2-5 PM. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp., PA.
