Eileen M. "Leanie" Brandt, age 78, of Mars, formerly of Butler, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2025 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.
Born in Butler, PA on March 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late PaulJ. and Vivian H. Rose Beck, Sr.
Eileen was a social worker for Catholic Charities in Butler.
She was a member of All Saints Parish at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She also was a member of Caring Hearts and Silver Sneakers.
Over the last two decades, Eileen enjoyed making, sending and donating thousands of handmade greeting cards to share with her family, residents in nursing homes, and elementary school students. Many people knew her as the card lady. It brought her great joy to connect with others through her card making.
Mother of Rebecca J. Fickes (Matthew) of Valencia, Victoria Brandt of Oakland Twp., Rachel Lane (Adam) of Fayetteville, GA and Matthew J. Brandt (Faith) of Casa Grande, Arizona, grandmother of Andrew (Shadely), Sebastian, Jacob, Eliza, Madison, Makenna, Kennedy, Lincoln and Noah. Sister of Ruth Roberts (Dwight) of Natrona Heights, Agnes Grabowski of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Frank Beck (Nick) of Sarasota, FL and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert T. Brandt, who she married on August 2, 1969 and who died on October 4, 1996, by a sister, Margaret Calabrese and by two brothers, Paul Beck, Jr. and James Beck.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 4-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St.
Peter's R.C. Church, 127 Franklin St. Butler, PA 16001 on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with Fr. John Baver, officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Butler, PA.
