Edgar W. "Dub" Armstrong Obituary

Edgar W. "Dub" Armstrong, age 86, of Adams Ridge, Mars, passed away on Thursday morning, February 20, 2025 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

Born in Quitman County, Mississippi on September 28, 1938, he was the son of the late Edgar W. and Ruby West Armstrong.

Dub had served in the United States Navy during peacetime.

He was a truck driver and had driven for Tesone Trucking and Brandt Paving and most recently was an auto parts driver.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude A. Bedford Armstrong, who he married on November 22, 1958, a daughter, Belinda Armstrong (James Golick) of Mars, two sons, Bruce Armstrong (Janie) of Lucinda, PA and Curtis Armstrong (Tracy) of Cranberry Twp., his grandchildren, Philip (Rachel), John (Alyssa), Kristen (Craig), Erica (Josh), Logan, Jared (Katie), Kelsey (Nate) and Nicholas (Brianna), his great grandchildren, Ronan, Isla, Charley, Elliott, Gabriel, Stella, Ella, Lily, Penelope, Noah and Ethan, his sister, Helen Rataiczak (Del) of Pompano Beach, FL and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Robert and James Armstrong.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday from 2-4 & 6-7:30 PM. Services will follow at 7:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Lawther, officiating. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
