Dorothy L. (Selner) Stevens

Dorothy L. Stevens, age 83, of Valencia, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 21, 2018 at Valencia Woods.

Born in Endicott, N.Y. on November 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Loretta Canty Selner.

She was a member of St. Kilian Church.

Dorothy had been a teacher in Owego and Rochester, N.Y. She had also worked as a shipper for LabChem, Inc. in Pittsburgh.

Surviving are her husband, John E. Stevens, who she married on May 7, 1960, four daughters, Kate Biertempfel (David) of Valencia, Lynn Barber (Joseph) of Butler, Shawna Watts of Renfrew and Johna Jacobs (Kelly) of Valencia, a son, Michael Stevens (Denise) of Valencia, a sister, Patricia Thomas of Endicott, NY., a brother, David Selner in California, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and her former son-in-law, Charles Watts.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, William, John, M.D. and Michael Selner and a sister, Ruth Ann Campbell.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. The family will greet friends at a luncheon following the Mass in the Church Hall.  Burial will be in Mars Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
