Donna Anne Hicks

Donna Anne Hicks, age 79, of Gibsonia, Pine Twp., passed away on Wednesday, June 09, 2021, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Spohrer Boice.

She had worked as a food service worker for Sodexo in the cafeteria at Pine-Richland High School.  She had formerly owned and operated Donna’s Kitchen.

Donna was a member of the Valencia United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Scanlon of Gibsonia and Janice Brinkmiller (Mark) of Aldie, VA, her grandchildren, Christopher and Derek (Katie) Scanlon and Ashley Mihelarakis, her great grandchildren, Zachary Golla, Jacob Scanlon, Alexa Carter and Hope Scanlon, a sister, Dayle Kaufman (Barry) of Butler and two brothers, David Boice (Mary) of Allison Park and Dennis Boice of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd T. Hicks, who she married on December 9, 1960 and who died in March 25, 1999.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 1-3 and 5-7:30 PM. Services will follow at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
