Donald C. Thieleman

Donald C. Thieleman, age 90, of Mars, passed away on Thursday morning, January 26, 2023 at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Mars, PA on April 6, 1932, he was the son of the late E. Raymond and Marie L. Kidd Thieleman.

Don retired from North Pittsburgh Telephone Company where he served as a construction foreman for 35 years.

He was a member of LifePoint Alliance Church where he served as an Elder for many years.

Surviving are his daughter, Virginia Myerchin (Steve) of Ft. Collins, CO, a son, Michael Thieleman (Kim) of Cleveland, Tennessee, five grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Bernice Kelly and two brothers, George and William Thieleman, all of Mars and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae Purvis Thieleman, who he married on September 5, 1952 and who died on December 22, 2018, by his sisters, Eleanor Thieleman and Frances Baillee and by a brother, Elmer Thieleman and a son, Bob Hagens.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Saturday from 4-7:00 PM. Additional visitation at the LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, PA 16046 on Sunday from 2-3:00 PM. Services will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Paul Cope, officiating.
