Donald Stofko Obituary

Donald Richard Stofko, age 88, of Cranberry Twp., passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Sugarcreek Rest in Worthington, PA.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 5, 1933, he was the son of the late George L. and Catherine Medved Stofko, Sr.

Donald grew up in Jacksonville, FL and Donora, PA. He earned a business degree in accounting. He worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for Fox Grocery in Belle Vernon, PA.

He proudly served for the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean War.

Donald enjoyed golfing and attending golf tournaments. He was a flea market vendor and buyer. He spent a lot of time riding bikes, enjoying classic TV, and reading the Valley Independent Newspaper. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post in Monongahela, PA where he was involved in numerous volunteer activities throughout his life.

Father of Leslie Ferrari (Raymond Borowski, Jr.) of Mars and Michael Stofko (Sandra Ebeling) of Cranberry Twp., grandfather of Taylor and Tyler Stofko, brother of Dorothy Ballew of AZ. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Stofko and brother, George L. Stofko, Jr.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 6-8 PM. A blessing service will be held at 8 PM. Burial will be in Monongahela Cemetery. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
