Donald Levesque Obituary

Donald B. Levesque, of Mars, succumbed to cancer surrounded by his family and closest friends on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on December 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Lionel and Lauretta Menard Levesque.

After graduation from Prevost High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Seville, Spain. Afterwards he also served as a member of the National Guard. Upon completion of his military service, Donald joined Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, Connecticut, where he was employed for thirty two years in both inspection and procurement departments.

Following his retirement, he and his wife, Carole moved to Mars, PA to be near their daughter.  For a while he worked part-time at Thorn Hill Printing in Cranberry Township.

A kind and generous man, Donald volunteered his time with a group known as Lizzy's Bikes, which provided bicycles to children of economically disadvantaged families in the area. Don loved all sports, but baseball was his passion, and the New York Yankees and Pirates were his favorite teams.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carole A. Levesque and his brother, Leonard Levesque.

Don is survived by his daughter, Lee Parsons of McCandless Twp., and her husband, David, two grandchildren, Jonathan Ptachcinski and his wife, Aylea, and Rachel Ptachcinski, two great grandchildren, Brea and Annalise Ptachcinski, a sister, Doris Michaud and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff on the sixth floor of Passavant Hospital for their loving care and support during his final days.

Arrangements and services are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
