Denis Ranalli Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved Denis Ranalli, age 70, who passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday afternoon, June 6, 2021.

Denis was born on May 17, 1951, making him 70 years old at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Angeline (Guzzo) & Benedict Ranalli and nephew, Anthony Ranalli.

Denis was survived by his three children, Christy (Michael) Green, Jeffery (Dawn) Ranalli, and Jessica (Nathan) Moran. Denis had eight grandchildren, Trey, Jayde, Aria, Eden (Green), Olivia, Rebekka, Eva (Ranalli) and Kira (Moran) as well as one great grandchild Raiden (Green), and his three siblings, Thomas Ranalli, Michael (Colleen) Ranalli, and his sister Jeanette (Ranalli) Burgess.

Denis earned a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973. He worked for Rockwell International on the space shuttle in Los Angeles, California before returning to Gibsonia to work for Richland Township as the Townships Engineer for 25 years. In 1985 he was employed by Coldwell Banker as a Licensed Sales Associate with their commercial sales and leasing division, specializing in vacant land acquisition and new construction. Denis had 40 years of construction experience specializing in land development. He also worked for Sewickley Township as a consultant engineer for new property development. In addition Denis dedicated his time to his community by serving on the Board of Director’s at Richland Townships Youth Center for many years. He was always willing to help family and friends with construction as well as guide them through property needs.

Denis talked highly of his grandchildren as well as his great-grandchild. He said his greatest job in life was being a “Pappa”. Denis was a wonderful father, grandfather, great- grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, and colleague. His witty banter, sense of humor, and his playfully sarcastic nature will be sadly missed. Although his departure from this earth was swift he leaves behind an indelible mark on all those who had the profound pleasure of being a part of his life.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 6-8 PM with a Blessing Service to follow at 8:00 PM.
