David A. Dietrich, age 83, of Mars, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 19, 2021 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.
Born in Fayette, Ohio on May 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Emory and Dolly Katsmeyer Dietrich.
Dave served in the United States Coast Guard during Peacetime.
He was a technical supervisor for Eastman Kodak in Pittsburgh.
A member of the Mars U.P. Church, he also was a member and past president of the Mars Rod and Gun Club. He was a social member of the Mars V.F.W. and was a member and past president of the Jaycees in Michigan. He also was a member of the Penn Glade Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife, Donna V. Collier Dietrich, who he married on September 16, 1957, three sons, Ken Dietrich of Mars, Dan Dietrich (Rona) of Butler and Mark Dietrich (Cindy) of Mars, his grandchildren, Lauren, Dillon, Casey, Jamie, Eugene, Shannon, his great grandchildren, Robert, Hayden, Rylee, Tanner, Ellie, Coltan, Aryahna, Taigen and a brother, Donald Dietrich (Carol) in Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Dietrich.
Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 PM. Services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
