Cooper Meadows Obituary

Cooper Glen Meadows, age 11, of Pittsburgh PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Born in Chattanooga, TN, on October 13, 2009, he is the son of Chelsey Stokes and David Meadows.

Cooper spent his short life being the toughest fighter we have ever known. Every person Cooper came in contact with had their life impacted by his warm personality, loving hugs, contagious laughter, and raw, sarcastic sense of humor. Even though Cooper battled all of his childhood through pain and setbacks, he was always happy, never complained about it and never let it hold him back from living his best life.

Cooper's favorite pastime included playing with his ipad, watching Disney movies and an absurd amount of Spongebob Squarepants. He loved reading, coloring and playing with his dog, Oakley. He wanted to be an evil scientist when he grew up because he said they were, "just misunderstood".

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, "Gigi", Jennifer Clark; maternal grandfather, "Pop Pop", Craig Clark; his maternal grandfather, Andrew Stokes; his paternal grandmother, "Mimi", Sharon Meadows; paternal grandfather, "Poppy", Glen Meadows, as well as his huge family consisting of The Clarks, Stokes', Meadows', and Drummet's.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff at The Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, nurses and doctors on 7B, the nurses and staff at Childs Way and The Children's Home, all of our In-Home nursing staff, and everyone that assisted with his care in and out of the home. You all are family to us as well.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled on October 16, 2021 in Pittsburgh, PA. A specific location and time will be announced at a later date.

We are working to create a Foundation in Cooper's name to continue his legacy. Details on the Foundation and how to donate will be announced shortly.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA. Online condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
