Christopher G. Kress

Christopher G. Kress, age 78, of Mars, passed away on Saturday evening, November 16, 2024 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 16, 1946, he was the son of the late Christopher and Estella Droste Kress.

He was a Master Sgt. in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Chris had been a lineman and foreman for Penn Power in Zelienople and also had been a school bus driver for the Mars Area School District.

He enjoyed boating, fishing and camping and also belonged to the Zelienople Masons.

He was a member of Victory Family Church in Cranberry Twp.

Surviving are his wife, Judy A. Shirey Kress, who he married on September 29, 1967, his daughter, Jennifer Bennett (Shawn) of Mars, his son, James C. Kress (Christie) of Lexington, N.C., by his grandson, Logan Bennett and a niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Kress.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-7:30 PM. Services will follow at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park in Cranberry Twp. Memorials may be made to Victory Family Church, 21150 Rt. 19, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
