Charles F. Szeg

Charles F. Szeg, age 84, of Valencia, formerly of Callery and Hampton Twp., passed away on Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026 in Slippery Rock.

Born in McKeesport, PA on April 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Cornell Szeg.

He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Chuck was a Catastrophic Claims Specialist for Nationwide Insurance in Butler. He also was co-director of an outpatient rehab facilities in McKeesport.

He and his wife, Judie were the owners Rehab Professionals located in Hampton Twp.,  a professional and catastrophic case management firm and he also did life care planning. He was also a member of the PA Counselor’s Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith E. Hanna Szeg who he married on July 20, 1983 and who died on January 25, 2025.

Father of Vance Szeg of Zelienople, stepfather of Kevan Shaffer (fiancee Victor Duncan) of Saltsburg, Kris Britt (Cliff) of Butler, Karolyn Barker of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Jon Kilner of Zelienople, step grandfather of Cheyenne Shaffer (fiancé Matt Fellows), Jaymi Tush and Julia Tush (fiancé Tyler Mihna), brother of Danielle Szeg in Porterfield,Tennessee, Kim Szeg (Debbie) of Phoenix, AZ.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 4-7 PM. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp.
