Carol J. Mack

Carol J. Mack, age 86, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, passed away on Tuesday morning, September 13, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Canonsburg, PA on September 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Caroline Raith Moag and step-daughter of the late Robert Moag, Jr.

Carol had been a Registered Nurse at Homestead Hospital and Butler Hospital and also worked for Dr. Sutton in Butler and did private duty nursing.

She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church and had been a Knights of Columbus volunteer. She was a 27 year volunteer for the flower sale at Holy Sepulcher and had served as School Board Secretary and was a PTG Leader for Holy Sepulcher School.  She was also a Girl Scout Leader for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin R. Mack, who she married on August 13, 1960, two daughters, Donna Anderson (Gary) of Penn Twp. and Cathy Hawthorne of Middlesex Twp., a son, Ed R. Mack (Cathy) of Middlesex Twp., her grandchildren, Cara (Randy), Hayley (Dustin), Scott, Eric and Justin, a great grandson, Hudson.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Rd. Butler, PA 16002 on Saturday at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick, PA.
