Carl E. Pietrusinski

Carl E. Pietrusinski, age 87, formerly of Wexford, passed away at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars on Friday morning, February 27, 2026

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Edmund and Anna Frankowski Pietrusinski.

Carl graduated from Duquesne University with a business degree in 1960.

Carl had been a grocery store manager for 45 years, most recently at BiLo in Zelienople and Giant Eagle in Ellwood City.

He was a member at St. Aiden Parish at St. Alexis Church, were he had been a CCD teacher.  He also was an Ingomar Little League baseball coach. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers.  He loved gardening, dogs and his grandchildren.

Father of Carl W. Pietrusinski (the late Colleen), Edmund Pietrusinski (Rue), Mary Catherine Pecar, William R. Pietrusinski (Pam), Paul F. Pietrusinski (Rebecca) and Carolyn A. Cmiel (Walter), 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister, Eileen Pietrusinski.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Elaine L. Gibson Pietrusinski, who he married on February 6, 1960 and who died on January 12, 2021, and by two brothers, Edwin and Walter Pietrusinski and Mary Anna Petnuch.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc.238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Alexis Church, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090 on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Please meet at the church.
