Carl E. Libengood, Jr.

Carl E. Libengood, Jr., age 85, of Mars, died Thursday morning, October 5, 2023, in the comfort of his home.

Born in Aspinwall, PA on December 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Carl E. and Hannah White Libengood, Sr.

A truck driver, Carl was an owner/operator working for Moore-Fletcher Trucking in Zelienople.

He attended St. John Lutheran Church in Mars and had served in the United States Army during peacetime.

He was a member of the Mars Sundae Cruisers and was especially fond of dessert, often eating it before dinner.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy L. Smith Libengood, who he married on June 2, 1958, his son, Carl Libengood, III (Paul Irvine) of Oakmont, his daughter, Lee Ann Clutter (John) of Valencia, his grandson, Colin Clutter and a sister, Morna Lee Hoy (Ray) of Indianola.

He was preceded in death by by two sisters, Nancy Ann Greco and Rebecca Jane Lesar.

Friends are invited to a Service at Pinewood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rt. 19, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Please meet at the cemetery.
