Bruce E. Simms

Bruce E. Simms, 66, of Evans City passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.  

He was born on October 24, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Anthony R. "Moo" Simms and Wanda Simms. 

A graduate of Fox Chapel High School and the A.W. Beatty Technical Institute, his love of fixing motor vehicles lead to his ownership of A-1 Automotive in Evans City for many years. 
His mechanical skills and ability to fix almost anything will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his brother, Paul Simms, and his wife Mary, of Butler, PA, his nieces Rachel Simms, Gretchen Wise, Lauren Simms, Catherine Simms, Caroline Simms and Elizabeth Simms, his nephew Charles Simms, his step-children Amber (Rob), Jimmy (Shannon) and Devon Delprete of Evans City, and his companion, Laura Crosby. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark A. Simms. 

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
A blessing service will be held at the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park, on Saturday, July 22, at 11:00 AM.

Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Bruce's honor in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 501 Martindale Street, #670, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, Attn: Team Cardio for Caroline (Caroline Simms).
