Betty B. Matous

Betty B. Matous, age 85, of Butler, formerly of Bakerstown, Valencia and Mars, passed away on Friday morning, July 7, 2023 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Glee Broxton.

Betty had been an optician at her family's business, Matous Opticians in North Hills.

She was an active member of the South Butler Assembly of God and when she resided at Penn Mar Plaza in Mars, she was active in the Tenant's Association and participated in the Senior Center there.

Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Golla (Frank) of Mars, her son, David J. Matous (Diana) of North Hills, her granddaughter, Lyndsey Golla of Mars and a sister, Helen Miller (Steve) of Jay, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Matous, who she married on June 17, 1961 and who died on April 30, 1989.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Rev. George Bender, officiating. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp. Memorials may be made to Quality E.M.S., 222 Brickyard Rd.
