Bernadette "Bernie" (Wagner) Vogel

Bernadette "Bernie" Vogel, age 82, of Mars, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 21, 2025 in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 12, 1943, she was the daughter of Henry Wagner and Elizabeth Berthold Wagner Shaw - and step-daughter of the late Harrison Shaw.

Bernie had been a beautician working at Carol's Headquarters.

She was a member of the South Butler Assembly of God, where she was active in church activities.

She was a member if the Mars V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary.

Surviving are her husband, Richard P. Vogel, who she married on May 12, 1972, her son, Frank Golla (Bonnie) of Mars, her daughter-in-law, Linda Golla of Gibsonia, her grandchildren, Ashley, James, III (Dana), and Lyndsey, her great grandchildren, Zachary, Eben, Lucas and Sophi, and two sisters, Doreen Lager of Saxonburg and Georgian Coldwell (Harold) of Knox.

She was preceded in death by a son, James T. Golla and her brother, Harrison "Chick" Shaw and her sister-in-law, Barbara Shaw.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, with Dr. James Golla, III, her grandson, officiating. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.
