Barbara L. McMaster

Barbara L. McMaster, age 93, of Valencia, Middlesex Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Alum Rock, PA on June 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Francis F. and Norma A. Stover Master.

Barbara had worked at First National Bank in Emlenton, PA and at Eden Hall Farm in Gibsonia, PA. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Butler County Community College at the age of 51. She received the Who's Who Award among junior college students. 

She was a member of the Bakerstown United Methodist Church and was an avid reader who loved History and chocolate.

Surviving are her four children, Craig McMaster (Becky) of Mars, PA, Belinda Mesko (John) of Irwin, Scott McMaster (Dianne) of Harmony and Michelle McMaster of Gibsonia, her seven grandchildren, Jason, Peter, Johnny, Ryan, William, Christina and Rachel, her eight great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, Greyson, Roman, Ariana, Rhys, Mac and Cooper, two sisters, Beatrice Kelly of Zelienople, PA and Linda Allen of Garden Grove, CA. Also 11 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Merle D. McMaster of Lewes, DE.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday from 4-7:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Keith Dunn, pastor of the Bakerstown United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in New Callensburg Cemetery, Callensburg, PA.
