Barbara L. (Eichenmuller) Dermitt

Barbara L. Dermitt, age 75, of Adams Twp., formerly of Moon Twp., passed away on Thursday morning, October 24, 2024 at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Frey Eichenmuller.

Barbara had been a School Teacher at Private Schools in the Pittsburgh area (Oakland Catholic and Ellis School).

She explored many corners of the world, savoring diverse cuisines and collecting unique jewelry that reflected her vibrant spirit. Her love for antique shopping led her to discover treasures that held stories of the past. Above all, Barbara valued the time spent with her family and friends. Her warm heart and infectious laughter created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Surviving are two sons, John Dermitt and his wife, Laurie and James Dermitt, both of Mars and her grandchildren, Cole and Kenley Dermitt.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Closing prayers will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Lawther, of Lifepointe Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp.
