Argeres "Artie" Frangos

Argeres “Artie” Frangos, age 89, of Mars, passed away on Monday morning, February 8, 2021 at Manor Care in North Hills.

Born in Piraius, Greece on January 7, 1932, he was the son of the late Lambros and Pagona Frangos.

A general contractor, he owned Art Frangos Contracting.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.  He enjoyed WWE Wrestling and Western shows, especially John Wayne.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara K. Ellis Frangos, who he married on November 7, 1992, three daughters, Margie Frangos Eliou of North Hills, Maria Feeney of Cranberry Twp., and Michelle Frangos in Pittsburgh, four grandchildren, Kristin (Bill) Shreve, Karris Feeney, James (Carrie) and Joseph (Cassie) Eliou and his great grandchildren, Rae Lynn, Liam and Teagan Shreve and Nicholas Eliou. Also a sister, Rena Stathi in Greece, a niece, Pia and a nephew, Takis and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Nicholas Frangos.

A private family viewing and service was held at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA. Burial in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
