Amber E. (Shoemaker) Thompson

Amber Shoemaker Thompson, age 42, formerly of Renfrew, passed away suddenly and moved on to her next adventure on Monday, April 3, 2023

She was born in McCandless Twp. on January 5, 1981, she was the daughter of Kent and Josie (McDonough) Shoemaker. 

Amber graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1999 and shortly after enlisted into the United States Navy.  Amber proudly served her country for eight years and completed the Naval Officer’s Training Program.   Following her military duty she attended Penn State University and received a degree in Computer Technology. 

Amber had a love of animals, especially horses.  She was an avid and accomplished rider.  Amber brought a lot of joy to those around her.  She faced many struggles in her life, but she never lost her wit and sense of humor. 

Amber leaves us way too early.  She will be deeply missed by her parents, her daughter, Bailee E. Thompson in Kansas, whom she loved with all her heart and her sister, Fawn Fletcher (Jeremy) of Los Angeles, California.  She has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.  

Amber’s grandparents, several uncles and cousins, Ben and Erica will greet her at the gates of Heaven.  We’re not sure if Heaven is prepared for Amber, but there will be joy and laughter.

A private family service is planned.   In her memory, plant a tree or donate to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd. Renfrew, PA 16053.
