Wilma (Wheeler) Gray

Wilma Gray, age 96, of Rockwood, PA, formerly of Mars and Evans City, passed away on Saturday evening, December 8, 2018 at Siemons Heritage Assisted Living in Somerset.

Born in Peterson, Iowa on December 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Fred William and Grace Hortense Brown.

Wilma was a homemaker and member of Mars Alliance Church, now Lifepointe Alliance Church in Mars.

Surviving are a son, Denver Gray, Jr. in Oregon, a daughter, Katherine “Kay” Race and her husband, Gene of Rockwood, PA, her grandchildren, Kristy, Bethany, Ian and Sean, her great grandchildren, Kayla, Emma and Tyler, her former daughter-in-law, Becky and her brother, Duane Wheeler in California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver R. Gray, who she married on September 7, 1945 and who died on August 11, 2005, by a son, Lester W. Gray and by two grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Lifepointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, PA 16046 on Thursday from 2-4 PM.  Services will follow at 4:00 PM at the Church. Rev. Paul Cope and Rev. Jeffrey Lawther, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Church. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA.
