William C. Terry, Sr., age 94, of Tionesta, formerly of Middlesex Twp., died Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home.

Born in Ambridge, PA on April 15, 1923, he was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Webb Terry.

Bill was a machinist for Thomas Machine in Glenshaw.  He had been an ambulance driver and first responder for the Tionesta Ambulance Service.  For many years, he was the president of the local Steelworker’s Union.

An avid trap shooter, Bill was a member of the Mars Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving are three daughters, Diane Luffy (Dennis) of Valencia, Gloria Hanna of North Hills and Joyce Smith (Rick) in N.J., a son, William C. Terry, Jr., of Mars, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lennon Terry, who he married on June 10, 1943 and who died on October 12, 1977, by two sons, Lawrence and Christopher Terry, by a brother, Walter Terry, Jr., and by four sisters, Eleanor Webb, Jean Rice, Mabel Haymond and Mary Ann North.

Friends are invited to a Memorial gathering on October 7, 2017 from 2-6 PM at 405 Ridge Rd. Valencia, PA 16059.  Arrangements are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.  Burial will be in Mt.
