Vickers E. Ward, Jr., age 85, of Valencia, formerly of McCandless Twp., died Monday morning, January 1, 2018 at Valencia Woods.

Born in Montgomery, Alabama on June 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Vickers E. and Mattie Mills Ward, Sr.

Mr. Ward had been a Purchaser and later Inventory Control Manager for Westinghouse Electric Supply Company in Pittsburgh.

He served in the United States Air Force as a First Lt. during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa Licnerski Ward, who he married on November 27, 1958, a son, Vickers Ward, III, (Patricia) of Marshall Twp., three daughters, Ellen Green (William, Jr.) of Butler, Karen Ward (Kevin) of Evans City, and Amy Martin (Richard) of Butler, his grandchildren, Julia, Adam, Ashley, Autumn and Cole, and a sister, Betty Jean Dudley (Charles) of Tallahassee, Fl.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Ward.

Service and interment are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.  Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA.
