Suzan A. Hixon, age 55, of Mars, died Sunday afternoon, April 9, 2017 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born in Seoul, Korea on July 21, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Carole M. Cashdollar Stiefel.

Suzan had been a paralegal for the Victims Outreach Intervention Center and had attended Old Union Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Joel Hixon of Penn Twp., and Luke Hixon of Mars, her former husband, Barry Hixon of Penn Twp., three brothers, Steven Stiefel (Alvie) of Douglasville, GA., John Stiefel of Trafford and Ricardo J. Stiefel of Douglasville, GA, and a sister, Amy Banyai (Bernard) of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 6-9 PM. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Rev.
