Rocco P. “Pete” Colonello, age 86, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, died Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017 at the Butler Veterans Hospital Hospice.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Rocco and Lucy Marsh Colonello.

Pete was a carpenter with the Carpenter’s Union.  He was a member of the Penn Glade Lions Club and the Sons of Italy in Florida.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills.

Surviving are three daughters, Catherine Lucas (Rich) of Denver, N.C., Joanne Tisdale (Eric) of Valencia and Lucy Laslavic (Thomas) of Thomaston, Maine, three sons, Larry Colonello (Laurel) of Valencia, Eugene Colonello (Vicki) of Callery and Mark Colonello (Debra) of Valencia, ten grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Jancse Colonello, who he married on September 23, 1950 and who died on July 27, 2007, by his brothers, Edward, Francis, Anthony and John Colonello and a great grandson, Liam.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Saturday from 1-4 PM.  Services will be private. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp.  Memorials may be made to the Sgt.
