Robert M. Messina, age 77, of Seven Fields, passed away on Friday evening, January 5, 2018 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Stowe Twp., PA on January 27, 1940, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lucy Girdano Messina.

Robert was a Human Resources Administrator for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of St. Kilian Church, the Cranberry Elks and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America in Pittsburgh.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Judith A. Dimmerling Messina, who he married on August 17, 1968, a daughter, Christine Stilley and her husband, Thomas of Bridgeville, his grandchildren, Amelia and Jackson Stilley and a brother, Louis Messina of Cranberry Twp.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Entombment in the Mausoleum at Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Twp. Memorials may be made to St. Kilian Church.
