Richard B. Young, Jr.

Richard B. Young, Jr., age 76, of Gibsonia, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born in Aliquippa, PA on February 15, 1943, he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Criswell Young.

Richard and his wife, Mary, along with his brother, Bill, founded Young’s American Rose Nursery in California. He had also been a sales representative for Easton Horticultural Resources in Ft. Wright, KY and Jackson & Perkins Nursery in Oregon.

He was a member of Mars United Presbyterian Church.

Dick enjoyed golfing, building and flying model airplanes, hunting and skeet shooting.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Conkel Young, who he married on May 31, 1975,  his son, Christopher Sean (Mandy) Howison of Renfrew, daughters, Christine Ann Young of Louisville, KY and Tracy Elizabeth (Matthew) of Lavonia, MI, and three grandchildren. Brother of Robert Young of Mason, OH, William Young of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Kathleen (Charles) Crispino of NC. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
