Patricia A. (Neel) Lamberson

Patricia A. Lamberson, age 83, of West Grove, PA, formerly of Mars, passed away on Friday evening, March 30, 2018 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE, with her loving family at her side.

"Lady” was an indomitable spirit who was extremely passionate about many things, not least of all her children, her siblings, and her spirituality. Her strengths as a single mother through times in history that required unique love and hard work, were a matter of pride to her. While raising five children, she worked at many factory jobs with the same skill and strength as the men she worked alongside. When she finally fell in lifelong love with her husband Robert, she acquired his love of railroads, and had a long career with Amtrak after his passing. Though she lived in several places in the country, she always maintained strong bonds with her roots in the Mars Area. Of the finer things about "Patty" were here strong memories of life growing up, and the homilies passed on by her older relatives and of course her joy of dancing with exuberance along with her family. She danced with abandon and freedom that were always remarked upon. She never forgot and neither will her family.

Born in Downieville, PA on April 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Kathryn McKinney Neel.

Beloved mother of Kathryn McDevitt (Joseph) of Norwood, PA, Thomas C. Wingard of Glen Riddle, PA, Sherry MacCombie (Herbert) of West Grove, PA, Darlene Welsh (Ken) of Norwood, PA, Gail Allen (Steve) of Lancaster, NY and Michelle Lamberson (Arne Toma) of Lake Country, B.C. She adored her many grandchildren great grandchildren, and great great grandson. She was the sister of Mary “Nikki” Weaver (Rich) of Mars, Linda Fox (Larry) of Valencia, Betty Fox (Bob) of Butler, Richard Neel (Nancy) of West Newton, Joyce Neel of Butler, Kim Neel of Butler, and Susie Brashear (Mike) of Saxonburg, sister-in-law of Nancy Neel of Butler, and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lamberson and a brother, William Neel.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp., PA.
