Michael Carey Quimby

Michael Carey Quimby, age 62, of Mars, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, October 18, 2019 at his home.

Born in New Castle, PA on April 8, 1957, he was the son of the late John C. and Dorothy Mae Cartwright Quimby, Jr.

Michael had been a plumber for Plumber’s Union Local #27 in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of St. Kilian Church.

Michael was an avid golfer.  He dearly loved his family and had been an active member of AA.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Burke Quimby, who he married on September 27, 2003, his dog, Mabel and his cat, Saskatoon, his sisters, Carol Ann Kristufek (Paul) of Butler, Mary Patricia Dundore (William) of Grove City and Susan Hazard (Robert) of Philadelphia, his brothers, John Quimby of Freeport, Joseph Quimby (Catherine) of Atlanta, GA and Daniel Quimby of Ft. Myers, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Bradley Quimby.
