Louise Snow Obituary

Louise L. Snow, age 96, of Penn Mar Plaza, Mars, formerly of Downieville, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Parker, PA on December 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Curtis  and Annabelle Myers Henry.

She had worked for 28 years at the Trees Estate in Gibsonia.

Louise was a member and Deacon at the Mars U.P. Church, where she had also been secretary of the Women’s Association and President of the Ella Dean Bible Class. She helped with the funeral lunches at the church.

She had been a member of the Mars Chapter #271 Order of the Eastern Star and had been secretary of the Mars AARP.

Her home had been used during the filming of the movie “King Pin” starring Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid.

She traveled extensively and had been to almost all the U.S. States and cruised to Canada.

Surviving are her sons, Rodger Snow of Mars and Gary Snow (Barbara) of Gibsonia, her grandchildren, Rodger Snow, Jr. (Rachael), Bryan Snow (Colleen), Addam Snow, Allen Nichols (Eileen), Dale Nichols, Bonnie Nichols (Bill), Lynda Dolney (Tim), Crystal Linaman (Chad), Jason Snow (Jesse), and Kenny Snow (Sue), also 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  And her nieces, Rita Blymiller, Jean Snow, Kristy Blymiller and Nancy Henry.

Also survived by a former daughter-in-law, Donna Weyman (Don), grand daughter-in-law, Mary Snow, and her Penn Mar friends, Doris, Carol and Dorothy and a special grand-daughter-in-law, Rachael who came to see me and helped me every day.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jacob D. Snow, by a son, Russell Snow and daughters, Barbara and Bonnie Dayle, by a great grandson, Devin Snow, by a sister, Grace Johnson,  and by a friend, Jim Becker.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Mars U.P. Church, 232 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA. Please meet at the church. Rev. James Steiner, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp.,  PA. Memorials may be made to the Church. Eastern Star Services will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.  Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
