John Kosinski, 76, of Renfrew died peacefully at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh, NC on Saturday June 17th.

Born in Evans City, he was a 1960 graduate of Evans City High School.  He retired from BNZ Industries in Zelienople and was owner of John Kosinski Excavating.

After retiring, John became a snowbird and spent his winters enjoying the sunshine at his home in Haines City, Florida.

Whether he was on his backhoe digging in the dirt, playing shuffleboard, or just relaxing with friends, John enjoyed being outdoors.  Hidden behind his gruff exterior, John had a heart of gold.

He will be missed by many friends and family, but most especially by his wife, Kathleen.  He is also survived by his children; Lee Kosinski of Evans City, Richard Kosinski of Evans City, and Carol (AJ) Mesalic of Las Vegas, NV; Step-children; Scott Hogan of Raleigh, NC, Eric (Janice) Hogan of Renfrew, and Kristen (DJ) Pavic of Raleigh, NC.  John was a proud grandfather of Megan Kosinski, Naia and Elena Mesalic, Jarred and Devon Brown, Tori Hogan, Patrick, Leah, and Stephanie Hogan, Jonathon Climo, and Danielle and Jack Pavic.  He was great-grandfather to Avery Brown and Carter Climo.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no visitation.

Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. Condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
