James D. Wilson, age 86, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, died Saturday evening, December 23, 2017 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born and raised on the Wilson Family Farm in Middlesex Twp., PA on March 10, 1931, he a son of the late John F. and Martha Park Wilson.

Jim was a 1949 graduate of Mars High School.  He was a full time farmer, milking cows until 1996 and continued farming until his health slowed him down.  He was a member of  the Butler County Farm Bureau.

Jim also worked in the produce department of Giant Eagle in Gibsonia.

He was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church and the Valencia Historical Society.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth H. McCracken Wilson, who he married on September 7, 1974, four daughters, Amy Lynn Andler (Chuck) of Renfrew, Donna Lee Wilson of Valencia, Julie Diane Whiting (Austin) of Edinburg and Melissa Sue Miller (Justin) of Valencia, a son, Mark S. Wilson of Valencia., grandfather of Caitlin, Bryan and Nicole Andler, Mitchell, Madeline, Meadow, Morgan, Maelee, Maverick and Marshall Whiting and Alivia and Charlotte Miller.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Ann Wilson and by a sister, Mary Catherine Scott and by an infant brother, John.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St. Valencia, PA 16059, with Rev. James Kirk, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Twp. Memorials may be made to the Valencia Presbterian Church. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com
