James E. Tomlinson

James E. Tomlinson, age 82, of Gibsonia, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Esther and James Tomlinson.

Jim was a sales engineer for Mine Safety.

He loved hunting, fishing, and golfing. He belonged to the St. Alphonsus Golf League.

He was a member of St. Kilian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara DeLuca Tomlinson, who he married on November 16, 1957; his sons, James (Susan) Tomlinson of Plum, Steven (Connie) Tomlinson of Altoona, Gregory (Heather) Tomlinson of Springboro, OH, and Paul Tomlinson of Apollo; his nine grandchildren, Dan (Casey), Matt (Nicole), Eli, Mark (Cassie), Ivy (Pete), Gregory, Scott, Cole, Samuel, Reid, and Veronica; his two great-grandchildren, Adam and Julie. Also survived by his sisters, Dottie, Cathy, Debbie, Stella, and Sadie.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Monday at 11:30 AM. Rev. Charles Bober, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Penn Hills Twp., PA.
