James R. Marshall

James R. Marshall, age 75, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Butler, PA on February 28, 1943, he was the son of the late James T. Marshall and Hazel Lisman Marshall Wilson.

Jim was a truck driver for Brown Trucking.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars, where he had held several different offices through the years.  He was the oldest living Life Member and a past President of the Middlesex Twp. Volunteer Fire Department.

He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen M. Davidson Marshall, who he married on October 31, 1970, two daughters, Lisa Adomaitis (Mark) of Evans City and Kristen Lydon (Christopher) of Butler, his grandchildren, Nathan Adomaitis, Nicholas Lydon, Nicole Adomaitis and Carly Lydon, a step-brother, Robert J. Marshall (Sharon) and a step-sister, Cathy Binegar, both in Ohio.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 420 Beaver St. Mars, PA 16046, with Rev. Robert Zimmerman, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
